After a tough year of dealing with COVID-19, wildfires and civil unrest, in this exhibition Santa Rosa Arts Center encourages us to take a deep breath, look at all the positive reasons we wish to live here and remember how fortunate we are to be surrounded by this sweet land, fabulous food and wine and our diverse community coming together through these crises. We are paying tribute to our beloved Sonoma County and invite artists to express their through their art. What a month! My visual journal for Sept. 2020

An important new documentary streaming on Netflix, The Social Dilemma, which is about how Facebook and other social media are damaging our world, features Trist...an Harris. I highly recommend watching this. Last week a film crew (interviewer, 2 cameras, sound and lighting technicians, stylist, director, producer) all came to Santa Rosa Arts Center and turned the gallery into a film studio to interview Tristan for the SynBioBeta 2020 conference. Because of Covid social distancing I'll be watching his presentation online. See more

I still can't fathom it, but I just found out that my piece, Harmony of the Soul has been accepted to the On the Edge exhibit in the de Young Museum! There were 11,000 pieces submitted from the entire Bay area and just 900 were chosen! I feel like I've just won the Nobel Prize.
