Today we celebrate the Birthday of former SCWA Champion; Chris Masters (Christopher Todd Mordetzky) born on January 8th, 1983 in Santa Monica, CA. I met Chris and his mother back in 1996 in Anaheim, CA at the Honda Center (formerly The Arrowhead Pond) thanks to Prodigy (Carey Bergloff). In 1997 he had his first backyard wrestling match at age 14 with SCWA (formerly VWWF) in Harbor City, CA. Moving up the ladder at a super fast pace he took out all of the competition and wa...s VWWF Champion within his first month. There was never a dull moment with the degenerate from Venice Beach. He formed an alliance with high school friend Edgar (Big Nasty) and was compared to a DX version of Triple H. He used the persona and perfected it being called HHH in VWWF and in every aspect of it was a 10/10. He had the long light brown hair and designed his own wrestling gear to put on only the best matches at The Jungle Peck Park in San Pedro, CA. from 1998 to 1999. Chris was the first wrestler in SCWA to leave backyard wrestling and go directly to an independent promotion (UPW) to train under Rick Bassman with wrestlers John Cena, Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky, The Ballard Brothers, Prodigy, Andy Van Dam, and many others. Chris went to to OVW (a WWE developmental territory) and was signed to WWE in 2003 and debuted on WWE Television on February 21st, 2005. Chris got to wrestle his idol The Legendary Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair in many main events and all over Pay Per View!!! Chris has been working the independent scene and Impact Wrestling (TNA) from 2011 to the present. We wish Chris the best of luck in 2021 and forever and we all wish we could see him return to WWE one day for the 3rd chapter of his WWE Career. He has many people rooting for him including friends Drew McIntyre (Current WWE Champion), Bobby Lashley (Current WWE US Champion, The Godfather and John Cena!!!

Our condolences go out in this loss to the family of former wrestler Father O'Dell aka Trayvon Johnny Walton He was nice to everyone he interacted with. He was a force to be reckoned with inside the squared circle and never backed down from a challenge. He trained with Vito Russo and the boys from San Pedro. A great, hard working father and husband. Prayers go out to his family. He will be remembered and missed forever.

After performing and giving it his all for 30 years, wrestling fans can be thankful on this Thanksgiving Week of 2020 that this man, this legend, this 7 time World Champion, this husband, this father; The Undertaker Mark Calloway will ride off into the sunset of retirement. Mark debuted as Kane The Undertaker in 1990 and soon became a rising star in WWF. Being introduced at The Inaugural Survivor Series event in November 1990 by The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase as his Myste...ry Partner, He was intimidating as ever and quick with RAW power. The size and agility alone was what immediately caught every fans attention. He won his first world title one year later by beating the Immortal Hulk Hogan at the 1991 SurvivorSeries. 6 World Championships later and multiple title reigns he was the most dedicated entertainer and best character the WWE ever created. His entrance alone will be the best of all time! In his 30 plus year career, The Undertaker was referred to and also known as The Phenom, Big Red, Big Evil, The Lord of Darkness, The American Badass, The Master of Pain, The Conscience of WWE along with many other names. He ran the yard for all of these 30 years and did it better than anyone else will ever do. So this week we at SCWA pay tribute to The Undertaker and his storied career. Its untouchable. His Legacy, His WrestleMania Win/Loss record, and just his presence alone. Will we see The Undertaker in a WWE ring again? You can probably bet on it! Today we honor the Birthday of former SCWA ring manager 'Trish' Patricia Peggs!!! Trish was one of the first females to manage in SCWA as she helped take her team of HIGH CLASS ; The Ron & Porno Porter to a reign as SCWA Tag Team Champions. Later in her wrestling career she gave birth to Matthew Jr. (son to Legendary Extreme Wrestler; Tommy Malice). These days as a mother of two she's always busy and working to provide the best Family. SCWA got to reunite with Trish at To...mmy's Funeral Services a few months ago. She looks great and her kids do too!!! We always wonder if Tommy Jr (Matthew Jr) will ever step into a ring. Happy Birthday Trish!!! We Love You!!!

Remington Matthew Podlewski, also known as Tommy Malice, was a father, brother, and loving son. Matt was curious of everything he encountered. He had the biggest heart of gold and a soul full of love and compassion. His music he created and played will live on forever in our hearts. Along with his music, his wrestling will never be forgotten. His best memories were of his backyard wrestling days. Nothing was more important to him than the time he spent with his son Matthew. Matt Podlewski will live in our hearts forever. Matt has gone to join the angels. Although his passing was sudden and unexpected, we need a way to get him home and have a proper service for him. Matt's mother Rae, is taking care of all the expenses and would greatly appreciate any help with his final expenses.

Today we celebrate the Birthday of Johnny YUMA (Andrew Pulido). Thank you for some great memories and hope to make many more in the future!!! Make your day your way!!! See you in the future!!!

20 Years ago The SCWA Legend Tommy Malice (Remington Podlewski) led the SCWA into the inauguration of BREAKING THE BARRIERS at The Anaheim Marketplace. The name was created in his honor as he was crowned the 1st Official SCWA Champion (new era) in August of 2000 at The Anaheim Marketplace. Malice fought so hard to win that championship from K2's Xsanity. The match can be dubbed as possibly the most extreme and memorable championship match of all time in SCWA History!!! Joel has been with SCWA since it's inaugural event at The Jungle (Peck Park) in San Pedro, CA. ... One of the toughest guys to step through the squared circle and battle the smallest and fastest to the biggest and most powerful. Back in the 90's and 00's he trained with guys like Vampiro, Gangrel, Chris Masters, and more!!! He would always put in The Ultimate effort from the VWWF to the SCWA.
