The Tender Warrior .. today I want to focus on the description of the hero or heroine’s journey at this moment in our collective journey. It is, in its own way, the realization of the divine feminine. Women of my mother’s generation were not seen or valued, much less understood. If they had an idea, they were passed over or silenced. If they wanted... to compete, they had to be a warrior 24/7. They had to bury their tenderness and femininity and show they could out-men the men. And even then, they were often invisible to the people around them See more
In this current climate where complacency, inaction, and silence are detrimental to our collective wellbeing, the Board of Directors of the Women on the Move Network organization reaffirms its commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and pledges to strive for justice based on truth in our programs and in our actions. We also recognize that we can and will do more, and take steps towards meaningful, forward-looking, and action-oriented strategies that will address racial unity and racial justice in all our activities and curriculum. Our mission and work toward gender equality has always been, and will continue to be, within the broader context of equity in all areas of human endeavor. And now, we will intentionally highlight and accentuate the dismantlement of racism and ethnic oppression within all aspects of our curriculum.
We join with the entire country in expressing our sorrow at the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. From the teen years on, Justice Ginsburg’s entire life was spent in striving for excellence, justice and respect for the law. She was an incredibly tireless worker for the rights of women and the underserved, as well as a shining example of the highest standards of education, jurisprudence and even family life. Her assiduous work to secure equal protection for women, e...specially, and others missing from inclusive shelter under the law forever changed the way the American legal system looks at its own functioning, She serves as a role model for girls and young women now and well into the future.. She embodied the qualities and standards our organization seeks to encourage in our Youth Development Programs, and is an inspiration to us all as we work to promote opportunities and advancement for women of all ages. Our heartfelt thanks to Justice Ginsburg for her unparalleled legacy. May she rest in peace. See more

Today our Who's Your Hero? girls made cards for the patients at the National Kidneys Support Centers for the February "Show the Love" event. Dr. Stewart, along with other administrators in the Rialto school district supported the girls in showing acts of kindness and helping us complete our Service project by putting our handmade cards inside of food baskets to give to the patients at the Support Centers.
WHO'S OUR HERO? girls at Los Amigos Elementary School in Rancho Cucamonga when Luana Jauregui of IEHP came to talk about overcoming fears and meeting challenges with courage and confidence. Ms. Jaureguui is also a singer; she sang for the girls and led them in singing some songs, as well.
