You rest, but still wake up tired. You take a bubble bath, but still feel wracked with stress. You talk to a friend, but still feel the energy draining. Self-care is very important, but maybe you need some SOUL-care. ... I have had this song on repeat lately because it's been a way to run into the Presence of the Lord. Tears flow, in the Presence of the Lord. Worries are laid down, in the Presence of the Lord Hidden places in my heart are revealed, in the Presence of the Lord. Peace and strength flood my heart, in the presence of the Lord. Fears are dispelled, in the Presence of the Lord. Purpose and mission and focus are renewed, in the Presence of the Lord. There is NO substitute for the Presence of the Lord. Maybe you need a little One-on-one, private time in the Presnece of Jesus. Just sit. XOXO, Nonda

Girlfriends, At our former church we pastored in San Jacinto, my husband started one year with a series about The Prodigal from Luke 15. What was intended to be a few week series turned into praying for prodigals for an entire year. Names of loved ones were put on the walls inside the church as a point of contact for us to pray in agreement for each soul. That year we saw hundreds and hundreds return to their relationship with the Lord. Today, I’m reminded of that year and o...f those in our lives who have strayed so far from God. It’s so painful to watch lives spiral into chaos because of wrong choices and sin, wondering how far down they have to go until they will come back. The story of the prodigal is a perfect picture of what wasteful living (the definition of prodigal) as the wayward son finds himself in the pig pen. My favorite verse in the whole story is in Luke 15:17- But when he finally came to his senses... That’s when his breakthrough came! Let’s put our faith together today and ask God for supernatural intervention and protection for prodigals. Let’s believe that today they will come to their senses and God will redeem all that has been destroyed. May they stop running from God and see the Father running to them as they come home. If your heart is full of sadness and grief because of your prodigal, I’m praying that the perfect peace of God will guard you and faith will arise is it’s place. Let’s stand and see the salvation of our God! In the comments, write the names of those you are believing for God to shake loose from bondage and usher into freedom. Let’s unite together in prayer and see what God will do. Today might be their day! Love, Nonda

Be still and know that I am God The instruction to be still in Hebrew means to let go, stop striving, slacken and let drop. It’s a picture of loosening our clenched grip on the circumstances and outcome and trusting God who’s sovereign over both.... It comes down to surrender. But to be still doesn’t mean doing nothing. Regardless of the circumstances that swirl around us, we need to still our hearts to worship, pray, remember, thank and watch. As your day comes to an end, let us remind you it is never too late to surrender to Jesus!
