The 2nd Annual Hike for the Homeless will take place on April 28 at beautiful Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Adults, students and pets on leashes can hike the 2.64 mile Fern Canyon Trail or 2 mile Old Zoo trail at their own pace, beginning at 8:00 a.m. near the Merry-Go-Round lot. Griffith Park includes many attractions and is the largest municipal park with urban wilderness in the USA. Registration is just $30 for adults, $20 for students and youth (ages 6-18) and $5 for pe...ts, with proceeds benefitting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s new Family Housing Project and its work with women and children. Registration includes a t-shirt, refreshments and a light breakfast. Various sponsorship packages are also available.
