Excellent work Dean Fazio.
Brothers and sisters, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, all who are mature, let’s have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that to you as well; however, let’s keep living by that same standard to which we have attained. Paul, the writer of Philippians
Merry Christmas from the Faculty and Staff at Southern California Seminary For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end ... Isaiah 9:6-7
Merry Christmas from our Registrar Brian Barga
Dean Fazio and Prof. Marsh presented chapters from their upcoming book at the annual Pre-Trib Research Center conference in Dallas. They missed their esteemed colleague and contributor William Watson due to his recent passing; they dedicated their sessions to his memory. His chapter was admirably read by the illustrious H. Wayne House.
"Our theme, Christianity and Islam, could scarcely be more relevant and urgent. The Christian encounter with Islam can now be traced through a millennium and a half of engagement. As evangelical scholars, our responsibility is to be ever faithful to Christ and ever more truthful in our commitment to the gospel. We are also called to truth, and to understanding the world around us more accurately and thoughtfully. That certainly includes our understanding of Islam, which has from the beginning represented an enormous challenge to Christian evangelism, apologetics, theology, and cultural engagement."
"At the heart of this work, as the book’s title suggests, are Bashoor’s charts. The charts are decidedly robust in content, while also being logically organized. They are sorted by genre (different colors being used for the various genres of NT writing), book, and major and minor sections within each book, with clearly worded headings assigned to each."
Faculty Conversations is a series, in which, each professor answers interesting questions about themselves and their work.
