A Virtual Toast...
https://youtu.be/U_NfIeyrgxU A CEREMONY OF REMEMBRANCE, OR THE MYSTICAL BANQUET It is about this time of the year, as near the occurrences of the Romish and Byzantine observances of the Christian Easter and that of the Jewish Pesach, that the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite holds it Ceremony of Remembrance, paying tribute to the memory of those brothers who have laid down their earthly tools and have transcended. It is a time to feel the loss form not having their presence... in our daily lives in such ways to which we have been accustomed, and to feel the joy in retaining the memories that have helped make us who we are. The occurrence is also proximal to the vernal tilt of the earth’s axis, when spring is welcomed; and with this occurrence, there is among humanity, a general disposition of renewal. While this year, all Masonic Orders have called of meetings in the interest of public and social health, that tradition of congregating has had to be set aside, seemingly to what may leave many in despair. Have no care, however, for the Pasadena Valley of the ancient order has come forth to palliate the despair and severance of tradition by a beautiful video, hosted and narrated by Illustrious Brother James Hoerrick, 33, under the auspices of the Pasadena Valley, Chapter of the Rose Croix, and Brother Robert K. Edis, 32, its Wise Master, that none silver cord be separated without the fraternal bidding of farewell. Let us remember those thus departed: Jorge Marzocchetti, Lancaster Lodge, No. 437; Thomas Paine, Pasadena Lodge, No. 272; Donald Christensen, Boulder City Lodge, No. 37; Dimitrios Vantarakis, Norwalk Lodge, No. 273; Ronald Stein, Ionic-Composite Lodge, No. 520; D. James Thompson, Conejo Valley Lodge, No. 807; David Oliphant, Arcadia-San Gabriel Lodge, No. 278; Jack L. Carven, Lexington Lodge, No. 104; Roberts D. Rooks, West Covina-La Puente Lodge, No. 446; Ronald Williams, Palmdale Lodge, No. 769; William A. Gray, Tujunga Lodge, No. 592; Gene French, North Hollywood Lodge, No. 542; Soft and Safe unto you, o ye brethren now departed, be your resting places! Bright and glorious be your risings! In addition to the names previously mentioned, let me acknowledge other among the leadership to the Pasadena Valley, all of whom have supported this project: Illustrious Brother Rees Padfield, 33, Personal Representative to Ill. Brother Frank Loui, Sovereign Grand Inspector. General; Ill. Brother D. Edward Griffiths, 33, Asst. Pers. Rep.; Brother Gregory J. Gabriel, 32, KCCH, Asst. Pers. Rep., and Venerable Master (Lodge of Perfection); Brother Ohannes Hovig Anatabian, 32, KSA, Commander (Council of Kadosh); and Brother David J. Williams, 32, KSA, Master of Kadosh (Consistory). Hear now, my brethren and friends the video as hosted by Brother Hoerrick! https://youtu.be/U_NfIeyrgxU Fraternally, Merrick R. Hamer, 33 Pasadena and Los Angeles Valleys See more
