How can you combat the feelings of loneliness that are common during the winter months? Give an old friend or colleague a call to connect with people who care about you.
This is not the first time the people of San Francisco have dealt with a deadly pandemic. Here's a detailed look back at how our city grappled with similar circumstances in 1918: https://www.cypresslawnheritagefoundation.org//part-2-gre/
At Cypress Lawn, our mission is to help the Bay Area community celebrate life, heal from loss, and remember those they love. Our founder, Hamden Noble, began this mission in 1892, and we continue in his footsteps today. Every day, our team members suit up and show up to make a difference to families in need. In honor of these brave and hardworking individuals, we have established the Hamden Noble Associates of the Quarter Award. All honorees were nominated by their peers for ...going beyond the call of duty and exemplifying who and what we are at Cypress Lawn. We are proud to announce the following award recipients for this quarter: Alex Petrini, Juan Gomez, Joey Ley, Gus Roldan, Aracele Govea, and Carlos Rojas. All honorees will receive a special Hamden Noble Award along with a Presidents Care Check. It is our hope that we will someday host a special dinner in honor of our recipients once it becomes safe to do so.

Consider this your special invitation to our first-ever Arboretum Day on Nov. 18! As part of our events, our Arboretum Director will be replanting the cypress trees that formerly framed the historic archway of our East Campus. These trees were removed about a decade ago after a major branch failure. This planting will be a memorial to COVID-19 victims and will be posted on our Facebook page.
