The Coyote Series features Angelica! Check out some of her work I'm Angelica I go by Angel my pronouns are she/her, I am a senior studio art major focused in painting. I have never been able to understand the need to stifle someone else's self expression, and since sources of joy are few and far between sometimes let people be their own. Being a part of the LGBTQ+ community has influenced me and my work to become the truest form of self. My work now more than ever sho...ws who I am, where I come from, and how I feel. It is this raw form of expression that I love so much and I truly feel it would have never been possible had I not embraced my identity. The Coyote Series is back and celebrating LGBTQ+ Hxstory Month Today we feature Joshua Alban! Swipe to read his poem in part 1 of his feature. Part 2 will follow shortly! I am a Communications major with a concentration in Media Studies. I work as a College & Career Specialist as well as a Media Coordinator. I aid at-risk young adults in the community with college and career readiness. I also manage our Social Media/Marketing while creating designs that are diverse,... inclusive, and equitable. Overall, I love what I do because I make a difference in the community while being myself! My identity in the LGBTQ+ Community influences my creativity because it is a large part of my experience in life. Because of the pain I have felt in the past, I am able to express myself and easily empathize with other people, especially through creative works.
