The B-17 nose gunner/bombardier! Typically gunners made up half of the bomber crew, manning the top turret, ball turret, two waist guns, and a tail turret. Step... inside our B-17 and get a virtual view of the various gunner positions of the Flying Fortress. Step Inside https://bit.ly/3nZKmU8 Photo: USAF

Lockheed F-104C Starfighters at Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base in 1965. During the Korean War, Air Force fighter pilots were feeling outperformed by the MiG-15... with their F-86 Sabres and wanted a small, lightweight, high-performance fighter which lead to the development of the F-104. Dubbed ‘a missile with a man in it’ the Starfighter had a top speed of 1,404 miles per hour (Mach 2.2) and a climb rate of 50,000 ft per minute! Happy #SupersonicSunday! Photo: USAF

This gorgeous airplane is Tony Accurso's Goldberg Eaglet, powered by an equally-classic OS .20 FP glow engine. Du-Bro wheels keep it rolling and a Du-Bro Exhaus...t Deflector (Part #696) helps it stay clean. Nice work, Tony! https://www.dubro.com//muffler-/products/exhaust-deflector #dubrorc #vintage #rcplane #rcpilot #madeinusa

Just finished this one up today. I also finished another one up that all post here soon. I built this one for my high school friend who I'm still in touch with.... He had a 1967 Cougar but all's I can find was a 1969 Mercury Cougar. So I built it to make it look like he is the best I could. His head just a regular gloss red paint job. And a lot of rust LOL. I made this one testors revving red metallic. See more

On this day in 1954 the U.S. Air Force begins to retire the Boeing B-29 Superfortress. Serving in WWII and the Korean War, the B-29 continued in active U.S. ser...vice until 1960. Pictured is the Boeing Wichita, Kansas plant in 1944. It’s a great day to visit our B-29, T-Square 54, a real piece of WWII history... https://bit.ly/2THyRnE See more
