Here's the new trailer for ONE OF THESE DAYS (SMC short film #11; Dir. Aaron Wilson; Prods. Carrie Finklea, Michael Osborne, Bryan Rogers, Jeremy Sinclair; Starring Jesús Nebot). Trailer edited by Michael Stella. Set in contemporary Los Angeles, "One of these Days" focuses on Tony (Jesús Nebot), a Latino police officer who clings to the belief that the institution is there to serve all citizens. When he is offered a promotion partly because the department could really use a ...Latino officer and his best friend and partner turns out to be a virulent racist, Tony wakes up to a harsh reality where violent corruption is always present, and trying to do the right thing can be an uncertain proposition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jrUC8SMOPJo See more

We are thrilled to announce the official beginning of pre-production of LAS 3 CHICAS (SMC short film #21; written & directed by Camila Conte). This project will be prepped this semester and it will eventually be filmed when the LA Film Commission and the SMC Administration give us the green light to do so, prioritizing as always the safety of our SMC filmmaking students. N.B. We are particularly proud that LAS 3 CHICAS focuses on transgender people. Pictured below: film frame from José Rojas's SMC Film 32 project "La mala educación."
