It's the first official #SupermarketEmployeeDay! We may be biased but we'll take any opportunity to celebrate Smart & Final's associates! Throughout a tough year, they've managed to make shopping manageable and even fun, with their hard work, kindness, and sense of humor. They've made tough times a little brighter and are a daily reminder of why supermarkets are such an essential part of our communities and we thank them for all they do!

With their efforts, sacrifice, willingness to help and constant attention to the needs of their community, supermarket employees have MORE than earned our gratitude over the past year! Smart & Final would like to pause and honor the Associates who make sure that we can shop for necessities during an uncertain time, and whose hard work and generosity of spirit are a daily reminder of why supermarkets are such an important part of our community. Smart & Final is proud to celebrate Black History Month, and our associates who bring so much warmth, kindness and energy to our communities, and to their own. Today we’re sharing the words of our Order Selector, Chris Jackson. Black history month is important to me because it shows the accomplishments that African Americans have made not only in the past but in the present as well. As a father and a husband, I feel it’s extremely important that I establish this foundation in my household and that my children understand where they come from and that they take pride in their heritage. Black History is something that is often overlooked and/or not shared as frequently as we would like. We celebrate Black History Month to recognize the sacrifices, contributions, and achievements of African Americans to the United States and the world.

They can chew up your favorite shoes, rearrange the trash into a mosaic on your kitchen floor, even throw up all over your bed and you’d only love them more! Today on #NationalLoveYourPetDay we wanna hear about the most in-furr-iating thing your beloved pet has ever done!
