Even if you ignored COVID health orders this weekend, it is not too late to reduce your impact on the community and stop the spread! -If possible, place yourself in a self-imposed quarantine for 14 days and only leave your home for essential reasons, like getting medication, seeing a medical provider or getting food. -Consider getting tested 5-7 days after you attended a gathering or participating in events that may have exposed you to COVID. ... -If you do need to leave your home, be extremely mindful of wearing a facial covering, maintaining physical distance and using great hand hygiene practices. -Avoid gatherings for 14 days. If you receive a positive COVID test, report that to SDSU and follow all isolation guidance.

In an effort to be better-equipped to support our students' needs, San Diego State University is administering a brief basic needs survey to all students. This survey should take five to eight minutes to complete and asks questions about your student’s food needs, housing needs, employment and access to technology. Students who complete the Basic Needs and Technology Survey are entered into an opportunity drawing and could be selected for a $50 gift card to Amazon.com. (50 available) Students can find the survey by searching their SDSU email inbox for the subject line SDSU wants to hear about your experience from [email protected]. All emails were sent to students’ SDSU email addresses.

Students living in the College Area - be aware that there will be increased law enforcement and public health officials Halloween weekend! Individuals and Registered Student Organizations who violate SDSU policies and public health orders (including hosting gatherings!) will be referred for student discipline proceedings, which could lead to sanctions up to and including suspension and, in extreme circumstances, expulsion.

Halloween is almost here! When making plans for Halloween weekend, be mindful that ALL SDSU Students face adjudication through the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities for violating COVID-19 policy and public health orders. This includes students living on and off campus, and whether or not the students participated in activities on or off campus. Students who violate SDSU policies and public health orders will be referred for student discipline proceedings, which could lead to sanctions up to and including suspension and, in extreme circumstances, expulsion.

Color is still available at a cost per page. The staff at the Info Booth will assist with room access.... Indoor Study Space in the Union - Go to the Info Booth and ask for study space. Student Union staff will get your contact information, take your temperature, give you a colored wristband and escort you up to a room. AS is following approved sanitation protocols and also have supplies in the room for you to access if you want to additionally clean your work space.

Independent Visions is a free panel discussion event about ethnography and communication, media and film representation, and the sociopolitical dynamics of a campus community. This event precedes the Independent Visions: New Asian American Images on Screen showcase of new independent films drawn from the 2020 San Diego Asian Film Festival. The films in the festival and the film screened in association with the panel discussion, Finding Yingying, address issues of ethnicity and identity through documentary, and the process of film selection provides students with the opportunity to learn curatorial principles of public programming through the critically informed lens of contemporary ethnic studies.
