We celebrated our annual Spirit Week and our students showed they are full of school spirit, even though most of our grades are still meeting online everyday. Everyone had a fun week dressing up like a favorite character, having a crazy hairstyle or rolling right out bed and logging into class wearing pajamas! Since Daylight Savings ends on Sunday, remember to set your clocks back one hour. A highlight of the school year is our annual SLEMS Blessing of the Animals in celebration of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi! This year, the special blessing occurred virtually as Fr. Ernesto and Fr. Angelbert participated in Zoom sessions with each class in order to bless the pets and favorite stuffed toys of our students. Bishop Oscar Cantú will ordain Deacons Angelbert Chikere, Robain Lamba and Joseph Tran to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ at the Cathedral of St. Joseph at 9:00 AM on Monday, September 7. Because of COVID limits, their ordination Mass will not be open to the public but will be live streamed on the Diocese of San Jose Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/DioceseSanJose/...
