This past weekend, I hosted a weekend full of anatomy fun! Saturday I had my first-ever Threadlift Lab, and Sunday was another one of my Anatomy & Injection courses. The weekend was full of learning, sharing, and of course, beautiful people. (See recap of each day below:) Saturday: Threadlift Lab We spend the first hour discussing the art and since of threadlifting. Afterwards, I conducted two live threadlift demonstrations in order to teach my techniques across all phas...es of the threadlift process (Anesthesia, Prepping, and Thread Placement). Sunday: Anatomy & Injections We spent the first few hours going over cadaveric anatomy then took an hour break for lunch while having an in-depth discussion of facial anatomy. Afterwards, we progressed onto diagnosis and evaluation of the face , and lastly, I injected a handful of patients with botulinum toxin and fillers to sculpt the face. The attendees included fourteen incredible injectors. I feel so humbled that they came from all over the country to attend my course, even in these crazy times. With each course I teach, I become a better injector and a better Doctor. Sharing my knowledge allows me to hone my skills and to learn from my participants. I LOVE my job! I get lots of questions about the Sykes Face Sculpting Institute, so I wanted to take a minute to talk about my course more in depth. My anatomy and injections training is an intimate course, limited to 10-14 people where we talk about anatomy, diagnosis, facial analysis and injection techniques. It’s good for beginners and advanced injectors alike and my only goal is to make you a better and safer injector. I dissect a cadaver to show you layer by layer, vessel by vessel, h...ow to be the best injector you can be, how to analyze the face, and how to avoid vessels. Then we have a lecture at noon and afterwards, we inject several patients during the live injections portion.
