Just an amazing projection from the European model this afternoon. It has Tropical Storms Laura and Marco making landfall at nearly the exact same spot in south...eastern Louisiana only *42 hours* apart! Both have the potential to be at hurricane strength when they make landfall. Marco's landfall is shown in the upper image below, while Laura follows in the lower image. See more

We're nearing the peak of migratory bird season here in the Florida Keys and there was a remarkable display of this migration on our weather radar overnight in ...addition to the light rain on our radar too! Dual-polarized radar allows us to "see" biological echoes, revealed here in an explosion of yellows/reds. The blues here indicate mostly meteorological echoes, depicting westward moving showers. Notice birds begin to navigate around these developing showers.

There has been speculation in the past few days that a dry February portents a wet (i.e., "Miracle") March. However, a look at the years when San Francisco has ...had less than 0.50" of rain in February does not support that thesis. In fact, only 6 of those 18 years had above normal March rain totals. The odds are only slightly better for the combined total of March and April, with only half above normal. See more

How about 21.7" of snow in Duluth, MN over the weekend! That was enough to land in Duluth's top-10 two-day snowstorms on record. #MNwx
