Register now for workshop on tips for grant writing through the Community Foundation of the North State.
To all members (and 'friends') of FSCM (Friends of Siskiyou County Museum): FSCM is excited that we will again be participating in this year's North State Giving Tuesday and YOUR donation(s) are deeply appreciated. Like so many nonprofits, we have been substantially affected by the pandemic and events of this past year. While the museum has been closed (we were able to open for only 2 Fridays this month), our goals have remained the same, to bring the community and the museum... together -- through programming, events such as the First Friday speakers and Walk Through History, new displays, and more. North State Giving Tuesday brings the entire northern region together by raising money and support for local nonprofits. Your donation may have an even greater impact as our participation makes us eligible for bonus donations and matches. NOTE: Early donations are now being accepted! GO to: http://siskiyoucountymuseumfriends.org On our website you will see the LINK to donating ($10 minimum) AND the project FSCM is proposing as our focus for the Giving Tuesday fund: Museum Docent Tour Script Program. Again, please consider donating to our wonderful Friends group. Invite your "friends" to participate as well!
Sad to say we are closed again, after a couple of fun Fridays staffed by Friends of the Siskiyou County Museum volunteers. We will be back! Read about it here www.siskiyoucountymuseumfriends.org and donate here www.northstategives.org/FSCM also check out our online book store on our website.

What is It? Before the museum shut down a patron brought in this item wondering if anyone knew what it was. It was found in a shed on a ranch. Anyone out there have any ideas? (PS We do not have the answer - you tell us!)
