Anything with silicon feels nice... #Amazon
btw: this is a freedive nose clip, bit more robust, comes with increase cost.
This is the one I use when teaching.
You might be asking why not just wear a dive mask that covers both the eyes and nose. I've discovered many public pools won't allow them. Not sure why, but I think the smaller equipment 'is' better for learning your balance. A dive mask has lots of air in it and that may confuse students in the beginning.
Inexpensive jacket like this will help you to comfortably find your balance in cooler pools. I think front zip is important for ease. I personally use the Vissla brand. #Amazon
Recently on quora someone asked me, "if it was possible to learn to swim on your own?" So this is a great question. And here's why. That’s exactly what I’m up to right now, building a video course to teach people how to swim on their own. Many may be skeptical. But I think if you take some simple steps in shallow water, you can slowly and carefully demonstrate to yourself that what you learn in shallow water can translate to deeper and deeper water. I would only recommend do...ing this in a clean, warm and carefully guarded pool. Please look to my other answers for tips on balance and floating. Hope this helps. Your Swim Sherpa, Hugh Jo
