FEMA info from our Multiple Listing Service: Because the Thomas Fire met National Disaster Criteria FEMA has stepped in with additional resources. Please tell all that have been affected by the Thomas fire to immediately apply online with FEMA for additional assistance that may not be offered elsewhere. Contact DisasterAssistance.gov. for more information... Examples of services include - - Financial grant if all other resources are exhausted; this may apply if you are under insured. - Immediate emergency replacement of medical equipment. - Assistance with design including the use of fire resistant materials. - Knowledge of State Grants that may become available if you apply with FEMA. - SBA extremely low interest rate loans to assist with any shortfall between actual building cost and any insurance payment. There are several other ways FEMA can assist. Deadline for applying is Mar 16th. Contact DisasterAssistance.gov for more information.
