Have you been to the recently opened Santa Ysabel Nature Center, completed for the County of San Diego? Completed in collaboration with our #DesignBuildPartner, Nielsen Construction California, this sustainable #LEEDGold, #CarbonNeutral #community facility is near and dear to our hearts. Did we mention there’s an interactive museum - highlighting local... plants, animals, history - hiking trails AND a playground? Hours of fun for the whole family! We highly recommend making a day of it and visiting the nearby Julian Pie Company for a slice of pie OR the Julian Beer Co. for a pint. Actually, do both. You hiked. Our aptly named ‘Not, Not Golfers’ group allows us to maintain real world team interaction via an inherently physically-distanced activity. It is with great sadness, that we inform you of the passing of Ed Imson on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. He has been a valued member of our family at Sillman Wright Architects for over 14 years and he will be greatly missed. A year ago this month, Sillman Wright Architects hired Tariq Jaber after an internship with our firm. Now, balancing his time between work and finishing his last year in the IPAL program at NewSchool of Architecture & Design, Tariq works with us on a wide range of projects, including military, civic, and school facilities. Has it been 5 years already? Happy #SWAAnniversary to Todd Mckerrow, the guy in the office who always makes sure our bellies are full of donuts and bagels. By day, Todd is Project Manager for the new #DesignBuild Culinary Building at Los Angeles TradeTechnical College, and by night, he is a dog dad to two rambunctious pups! Congratulations Todd!
