Here at SHP, we are proud donors to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is a nonprofit organization that’s mission is to meet human needs without discrimination. Each year they help 23 million Americans and continuously provide for the less fortunate. Last year, we were honored to receive the Golden Kettle award presented by the Salvation Army at their Kettle Kick-Off luncheon. Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate family. Here is a throwback to when we were able to play a special role in reuniting the Hufford family with their Signal Hill roots. In the early 1920s, when oil was first discovered here in Signal Hill, the Hufford family drilled one of the first oil wells! Luckily, the grandchildren were able to come back to Signal Hill and see the exact spot where their oil well used to be! This past Monday, we were proud to be the Presenting Sponsor for the Signal Hill Police Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament at Old Ranch Country Club.
