"Lost at the Cones" After dropping off our overnight gear, about a mile down the canyon, my friend and I made the summit. After soaking in the sunset and staying late for photographs, we descended down through lichen covered cliffs in the dark. We searched and searched for our overnight gear, but we had no luck and were forced to stay the night without our gear. I loaned my dog to my friend to keep each other warm by the fire.
