SFC Board Member highlight...Sue Overstreet! 1. How long have you been with SFC and in what capacity? The first time I was on the board was in the early 2000’s. I came back on the board a couple of years ago. I have been a member for most of those years as well. 2. What did you do in your life before SFC? I was a public school administrator. 3. Describe a highlight or memorable experience during your time with SFC. During the first time I was on the board, I organized a...n art show at the Arts Council in Mariposa. It was a fundraiser for SFC. I don’t remember how much money was raised but the artists and folks who attended had a great time and the event raised awareness about SFC. 4. What do you like to do outside of your time with us? I walk and hike as much as possible. Birding is also something I try to include in my activities. I belong to several book groups and always have a book nearby. 5. What is your favorite part about working with SFC? Watching the fabulous growth of the organization over the past 25 years. Celebrating the successes with a wonderful staff and a board that shares the SFC mission is very rewarding. It is so easy to talk about all the great things SFC has been doing the past few years.
