Beaver Virtual Tour!

Sierra College Natural History Museum 30.10.2020

So...do you want the good news or the bad news first? Bad news is that fancy new phone I got on Friday (because the volume was dying on my old one) backed up all my photos on icloud but NOT a single video from my old phone. Gone. Everything. 150+ personal videos and about 50 virtual tours for the Museum. :( ... Including the beaver footage for today's virtual tour. I've tried for hours to rescue the videos but they aren't there. Tried to get answers from Apple. Ehhhh... I do have some sort of digital record of many of them on Facebook so there is some good news. Sorry everyone. No beaver video tonight. I'll film extra in the morning and upload something special before STEAM StoryTime.

This morning, my seven year-old son requested dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets for breakfast. It’s a Halloween full moon during Covid-19, so of course I sipped coffee and said, why not? My husband popped them in the oven and I asked him what dinosaurs he pulled from the freezer. The dinosaur with the big sail on the back.... Me: Dimetrodon is not a dinosaur, dear. He died out 40 million years before the dinosaurs; besides, it’s technically more closely related to a mammal than a modern reptile. My husband: {blinks, blinks} #ThisIsWhatYouGetWhenYouMarryAMuseumDirector #NaturalHistoryFacts #Dimetrodon

Hungry, Hungry Hippos!!! (Those gnarly teeth weren’t used for feeding but rather combat!)
