Retail Warehouse Worker responsibilities include: Assisting in maintaining warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision. Assisting with receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations. Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization.... Job brief: We are looking for an effective Warehouse Worker to aid in receiving, warehousing and distribution operations. You will assist with the efficient receipt and storage of incoming items, process orders and plan the dispatching of products as well as monitor space and tracking stock levels, setting aside storage areas for new stock. Responsibilities: Receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations. Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization. Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements. Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security. Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system. Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies. Plan work routes, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results. Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc). Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided. Requirements: Indoor plant knowledge preferred. Must be physically able to lift 50 lbs. Proven work experience as a Warehouse worker. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases. Organizational skills and ability manage own time. Strong decision making and problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills. BS degree in logistics, supply chain, management or business administration preferred but not required.
