Defensive pistol course at Iron Sights Wombats Are Dangerous: Sir,... If you are looking for advanced Firearms skills, let me bring you up to date. Fall 2013.... I , Bill Heyder am no longer the instructor at Iron Sight Range !! They have seen fit to turn me to pasture after 15 years of training. Now I devote all my time and effort to "Black Wolf Defense", my firearms training company. As for advanced training classes, I am a former Combat Veteran of the USMC, having done time in Viet Nam. The new instructor at the range is an NRA instructor, but as I know has less then one year experience as an instructor !! I have never seen him do an advanced class at Iron Sight. To all my Marine Friends, Get ready the Corps is adopting a new harder pistol Qualification course. More rounds to fire and all speed timed shooting. Many reload drills and strong hand only. As well as weak hand only shooting! Starts Nov. 1,2013 and goes full active Nov.30 2014!!
