Change teaches us to adapt and grow as a person. Change is good but also hard, staying with what is familiar is way more comfortable. But we miss out on so much when we don’t venture out of our comfort zones, remember there is no progress without change. Even though the unknown is scary, you will come out the other side with more wisdom, resiliency, confidence and strength! Don't fight the change but use it as fuel to grow. #change #covid #strength #careerchange #lifecoach #careercoach #coaching #quote #motivationalquote #quoteoftheday

Change is the only constant in life. But dealing with change can be so hard, it causes stress, it’s uncomfortable and oftentimes it brings up all our fears. So, how can you deal with change without losing your mind every time? 1. Acknowledge the change. Sometimes fighting the change can exhaust us and prevent us from actually dealing with it. But accepting what is happening and telling yourself that "life is change, and change is good" (shout out to my UCSB commencement spea...ker, that has been my life’s mantra). 2. Realize that even good change causes stress. Keep in mind that positive change creates just as much stress as not-so-positive change. Stress is your body's nervous system reacting to the fear of the unknown and wanting to control what is happening. When those feelings come up, remind yourself that is natural to feel stress when things are changing, even if it’s something you’re excited about it. 3, Write down the possible positive outcomes. Try to find the silver linings in the change - maybe you’ll met new people, start some healthier habits like exercising or finally prioritize what is most important in your life. Change can be a great catalyst for growth if we’re willing to stay open and embrace the new. 4. Give yourself time. Change typically doesn't happen overnight, it’s a process, and that’s also the best way to deal with it. Dealing with change can bring up a lot of emotions, so it’s important to give yourself the time you need to fully process everything that comes up for you. Don't let anybody tell you "you need to get over it" take your time to acknowledge your feelings it’s not a race and sometimes you might need longer to deal with a change in your life than others. Some days it is easier to deal with change and other days you get totally overwhelmed - that's okay, listen to your body and take breaks to care for yourself when you need them. You will be okay and most likely even stronger on the other side!

Your mindset is everything. Having a possibility mindset supports you to find what is working and what could be. Life is certainly hard, 2020 taught us that, but focusing on what you can do or what you can create or believing that things can get better, can often be the thing that makes it true. Like anything, this muscle can be strengthened by practice. Set aside time each day to think about what is good, what you’re proud of, what your strengths are, and steps you want to take the next day to move you forward. #positive #confucius #positivemind #mindset #strength #nevergiveup #motivationalquote #quoteoftheday #careercoach #lifecoach #shinebrightus
