I hear this statement all the time in my treatment room: I only wear sunscreen when I’m leaving my house. Unless you live in a windowless house or you’re constantly surrounded with blackout curtains, you need SPF even when you’re indoors! Why? Because even though you’re indoors you’re more than likely not going to get a sunburn since most windows block UVB rays, but you’ll still get UVA rays coming through your windows. UVA rays actually penetrate deeper into our skin an...d degrade our collagen production and are also known to cause skin cancer. Sunscreen should be the last step in your morning skincare routine!
