With the winter months approaching sooner than you think, it‘s important to look ahead and think about how you’re going to ride in the rain and cold. 2020 may have messed up the competition season but your horse shouldn’t suffer! Spend the off months gearing up for next show season! Our barn offers a full service facility includingbut not limited toa large indoor arena and lighting, perfect for winter! ... We also have hot water, access to trails, covered crossties and three other outdoor arenas including a dressage court and a large jumping arena with stadium lights for lessoning later in the low light evenings. Sharon Schmidt Training currently has 2 vacant stalls in our facility! This is a rare opportunity as they will not be unoccupied for long. SST is accepting horses and students for training looking to expand their knowledge and skills in jumpers, hunters, equitation, those who are beginners looking to step into the sport and everything in between. We offer a full service facility based in Wilton, CA with three outdoor arenas and an indoor, hot/cold water access, thorough and regular hay quality checks, access to casual trails, close proximity to Brookside Showpark and Murieta Equestrian Center and a calm, encouraging atmosphere. Wonderful show at Wine Country this week with all the horses. Even in the intense heat the SST Team had a great show! Hanna and Mariposa had fantastic rides and brought home two 2nds in the 1.0m’s along with placing 8th in the MDC’s $1,000 Jumper Classic. Elizabeth won a 1st in her USHJA 2’6 round and rode Teddy in in the $1,500 MDC Hunter Derby and placed 8th out of 23 riders! She also rode Clyde in the 1.0m jumpers, got two 1sts and won Champion of their division Kristi a...nd Finn had some awesome break throughs this show and got a 1st in their on the flat long stirrup class and a 2nd and 3rd in their 2’0 long stirrup rounds! Megan and Lolo got 2nd in the 1.10m’s and won Reserve Champion of the Child/Adult 1.10 division! Awesome job to all the riders, horses, family and everyone else that makes it happen. Testimony of the week: I first met Sharon three years into riding. I came into Sharon with knowing very little in how to properly ride. I was scared to even go over a canter pole but I wanted to do it. Not much later Sharon helped me find my own horse ( Breezy ) that challenged me but also made it more fun to ride. We quickly bonded and started placing more then ever at shows. Sharon helped me finish my fears and pushed me in a steady but effective way. I also q...uickly realized that the barn was completely drama free and I had a amazing barn family. Every rider has a different training program that is fit to what they know and where they want to be. She has shaped everyone to feel more safe while riding and to be more responsible.
