Registration is now open for FIRST LEGO League Explore! Accompanied by coaches, the team explores real-world problems. They create a Show Me poster that presents their discovery and their team, and they build a motorized model of LEGO bricks showcasing their solutions. This year's FLL challenge is Cargo Connect. Kids (ages 6-10) will learn how cargo is transported, sorted, and delivered to its destinations.... Registration fee includes a LEGOLAND ticket for the participant. First meeting is on 10/10! Happy Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year! And this December 21st is even more special because it brings the great conjunction of planets in our night sky. You can imagine the solar system to be a racetrack, with each of the planets as a runner in their own lane and the Earth toward the center of the stadium, said Henry Throop, astronomer in the Planetary Science Division at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
