hello lovely people, i hope that you are all remaining unapocalyptically optimistic and keeping your hands washed and not breathing on anyone as you allow yourselves to assimilate to the new world order? on that note, the adventure on the road to the new squeaky clean resurgence of SHAMPOO continues to remain too tragicomic to even give but a glimpse, but here's a brief list that will be mildly entertaining, give a little bit of hope to anyone who likes their poetry sudsy and... tingly, and hopefully won't take but a minute or so to glace over: i. just to throw out one tiny excuse for why you don't see SHAMPOO online quite yet, i can sadly relay that the domain name where SHAMPOO lived for over 15 years has been (of course!) stolen from me. literally. and to top things off, whoever has it is now showcasing much of its original content in ways never intended before (i'm so sorry for that, all of you SHAMPOO stars, but i will take care of this somehow once i get the new site up and running in barebones form). needless to say, i have spent many hours on the phone with (boycott!) network solutions, wherein they kept giving me hope, then taking it from me, and so on. unfortunately, having lost the very cool job i started earlier in the year because of covid-19, i obviously don't have the wherewithal to hire a legal team to go after whoever is using the domain name upon which i spent 16 years making a lovely little world upon, and for which i have a receipt right here that says it is mine. at least not yet, so... ii. i have a new domain name for the site, which i think will be just fine, along with a new webhost service, and yesterday, i spent my first few hours navigating through it, trying not to clench my jaw every time i remembered i used to have the process of putting together an issue down to a quick science. iii. so, baby steps... iv. toward the good news, which is that i plan to get enough of a start putting the magazine back together at a place where you can visit, where you begin to see some of its original content as well as delve into the beginning of a brand new issue. and as had always been the case, SHAMPOO will thenceforth grow as a continuous work in progress. stay tuned here for all the information you need to find your way there again. til soon & stay say safe, del del ray cross founder and editor SHAMPOO clean hair / good poetry

today i learned that a good friend of mine passed away after battling coronavirus. so i just thought i would just remind everyone to do those simple things that some of us can do without much effort in order to keep ourselves and others safe. i'll be back tomorrow with more information about the impending return of this nifty poetry magazine from back in the day. tomorrow, del
