The New Dharma Mommies group is coming up soon!

We’ve discovered contemplative practices work very well online since you’re not relating so much to the screen, but to your own heart/mind and experience. Please share. No more geographical boundaries. We hope to see you this Saturday, June 13th, Write Where You Are online with Debra Dysart. 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please register in time to receive the Zoom link by auto-response. Zoom room opens at 10:30 am for questions and getting settled.

Tonight is our Weekly Sitting. We start with a little mingling at 6:30 pm, then move into our virtual shrine room for sitting (with instruction). We often include some dharma reading and always include walking meditation. Connect with yourself and touch base with community. We hope to see you there!

"Don’t let life harden your heart." ~ Pema Chödrön During this time of pandemic and lockdowns, it may feel like joy is elusive, all the more difficult to find in a world that has been turned completely upside down. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings on meditation and the Bodhisattva's intelligent compassion towards self and others, we can begin to discover the confidence and inspiration for a life of cheerf...ul discipline, health, and bravery, no matter what the external circumstances. These teachings are especially relevant during this challenging and uncertain time. The 5-week class will include meditation instruction, talks, periods of meditation practice, discussion, and a variety of contemplative practice activities.

At the Orange County Shambhala Center, we offer individual meditation instruction on Sundays and group meditation instruction on Wednesdays during the first half-hour of each session.
