Friends, I am always astounded by how on point oracle cards are. This card that I pulled for us asks us when we have compromised our integrity and what we believed in in order to be loved. We could also apply it to times we’ve compromised our truth to maintain the financial security of a paycheck or to be accepted by our peer group. One of the big lessons of 2020 for me was to dig deeper and align all aspects of my life with my highest values. These approaches seem to work in the short-run but do more ...harm than good in the long run, so it’s great to be reminded to be prepared to work towards our goals and plant seeds mindfully. It’s also way too easy to limit ourselves, falling into the belief that what we long for is not possible, or we can’t achieve it, or we’re not worthy of it. None of this is true, so I encourage you to dream big...and then plant seeds mindfully and take small, steady steps to manifest your essence dreams and heart’s longings. The process of transforming our lives and achieving our dreams is actually not very complicated, but it does require patience and perseverance. And it’s best done from a space of gratitude and appreciation for how blessed we already are. Friends, this reading feels especially timely. While many individuals may feel tired of the social restrictions of the pandemic, this season does offer us the wonderful opportunity to go inward in order to reflect, reevaluate, and re-emerge more clear, focused, and energized. I have not been posting as much recently and have felt a pull to let myself slow down even more, to gather strength, and to contemplate what I want to create in the coming year, so this reading really r...esonates with me. Friends, we got our first snow last night! It’s not exactly a winter wonderland, but I’m in awe of the magic and beauty of nature. After two days of seriously stormy weather with rain, hail, high winds, and a bit of snow, the sun is out this morning, and everything looks so crisp and bright. During my morning walk, I marveled at the beautiful stillness and sense of renewal around me. ... It’s a beautiful reminder that storms do pass, and great beauty and an incredible sense of renewal and possibility follow. May all beings find comfort and solace during storms and hope and possibility on the other side.

Full Moon Blessings, Friends!!! The full moon always presents a wonderful opportunity for release of the past and what no longer serves us. I did a little ceremony earlier that brought me to tears. It felt wonderful to spend some time saying prayers and making offerings in the medicine wheel. A new prayer came to me that I found very powerful and will be writing about. ... We have been through many personal and societal tests. I send you love and blessings for releasing this time of intensity in a good, sacred way. Friends, Happy Monday! Work has begun on the yurt project at Ayni Anand healing sanctuary!! First step is to level and grade the area the yurt will go on. Second step will be to pour a concrete pad that will be the foundation of the structure. This will be the space for future classes, ceremonies, celebrations, and other sacred gatherings. I am so very grateful to all who have supported this project. Just moments before the crew arrived, I was sending prayers of gratitude for their support and asking for protection of the land and project. I’ve read it several times, and it especially resonates now that I’m living in the woods surrounded by nature’s medicine. Cure yourself with the light of the sun and the rays of the moon. With the sound of the river and the waterfall. With the swaying of the sea and the fluttering of birds. Heal yourself with mint, with neem and eucalyptus. ... Sweeten yourself with lavender, rosemary, and chamomile. Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a touch of cinnamon. Put love in tea instead of sugar, and take it looking at the stars. Friends, happy first day of Autumn!! While this season is full of beauty, it’s also the season we need to be most careful about fire safety here in the mountains. Since I am new to country living, I have been wanting to get expert advice on how to manage fire threat here and make sure my yurt and fire pit plans are well thought out. Yesterday, I saw a Cal Fire officer and mentioned my concerns and asked if they ever come to homes to do a consultation. He said yes and told me... to get in touch with the station. I called and they came for a walk through of the property this morning! I was so impressed with their kindness and professionalism. They said the property looks great overall in terms of fire safety and gave me tips I never would have thought of: 1. They pointed out that while the access road and my driveway are well maintained for most vehicles, the tree branches need to be cut back more to accommodate the big fire trucks. They’re going to email me dimensions of their biggest trucks, so my neighbors and I know what kind of clearance is needed. 2. To trim low hanging branches on the oak trees so the bottom 5-6 feet of the trunk is clear to protect the tree in case of a grass fire/burn. 3. In the area the yurt will go, clear more of the nearby brush and clear the bottoms of those tree trunks 10-15 feet off the ground. 4. Fire safety measures I should take for the fire pit construction. And to let my neighbors know if I’m going to build a fire because those in view will often call the station thinking it’s a wild fire. We had a good laugh about them racing over here while I’m in ceremony around a fire. Friends, meeting these wonderful gentlemen was so reassuring and uplifting. They were calm and kind, very courteous and humble. I’m feeling so grateful to have such good people looking out for our community. I wanted to share these tips in case you or anyone you know lives in areas of fire safety concern. If so, please share.
