Hello Everyone, Please be informed that Los Angeles County Aviation Division will be holding a virtual meeting on Saturday 10/24/2020 at 10:00AM. Yvonne Guerra asked me to post this so everyone knows what's going on for our monthly display day. San Gabriel Valley Airport Assoc. Aircraft Display, Sunday, July 26 Hello Everyone and hope ya'll staying safe.... The San Gabriel Valley Airport Association welcomes you this upcoming Sunday, July 25 to the monthly Antique Display Day at San Gabriel Valley Airport (EMT) in El Monte. The event is scheduled from 9am - 1pm. Aircraft owners please check in with Gilbert Viramontes so you can get your display sign-off. If you have questions, contact him at 626-327-1104. Check out the Association on Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/sgvairport/ Please note that the public is welcomed, however, they will NOT be allowed onto the tarmac. Aircraft can be viewed from the observation deck at the EMT Administration Building. Also, planes can be viewed from the Annia's Kitchen outdoor patio dining area while you enjoy lunch from their eclectic menu. The restaurant is open 8AM-2PM. Okay everyone after long last looks as though Annia's Kitchen may be opening back up next week around June 15th. With that all said they will have to meet the criteria set forth by the LA Co. do to the Covid virus. Lets support them and welcome them back.

Do to Covid-19 we will not be doing an aircraft display day this Sunday, Gilbert has agreed to give all a sign off as well.

Some of your are wondering why here at our airport. As we are an Emergency Staging Area for the entire San Gabriel Valley for anything including the big one some day we all have to adjust to do our part.

Along with the cancellation of the LA County Aviation Commission meeting (3/18/2020), you may also want to check if any of the FAA Safety Meetings have been cancelled/postponed (some have been), Visit https://www.faasafety.gov/SPANS/events/EventList.aspx. Barry Schiff at EMT on Wednesday, March 18, 7pm is still on as of this writing but it’s not on the FAA SPANS portal. Monthly displays at EMT and POC are scheduled as far as I know. However, this weekend the weather may no...t be favorable anyway. Watch the WX. KPOC has canceled their display day. Marchfest 2020 Airshow cancelled--the Air Force Thunderbirds were scheduled to appear at March Air Force Reserve Base, March 28-29. This Saturday at Yanks Museum they are featuring the P-47 Thunderbolt ! Dad 1st Lt. Edward J Lopez will also be a guest speaker where he will be signing his book once again. We will be flying out in our Rv-6 with wheels up around 8am come join us and lets make this a fly in.
