Because we want to keep learning how we can individually and collectively support racial justice and equality for the black community, we're reading "How to be an Antiracist" for our current book club. We're looking forward to discussing what we learn and want to implement with our friends at Appleseed. #RacialJustice #RacialEquality #BookClub

Shoutout to our dynamic project specialists Joy, Denisse, and Paige for completing 51 virtual assemblies to elementary school students in Riverside County in just five weeks! The presentation used animation, puppets and Zoom/Google Hangout features to teach elementary students about their local watershed. #EnvironmentalEducation

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are proud of our partnership with FIRST 5 Santa Clara County (FIRST 5 SCC). FIRST 5 SCC provided valuable resources such as diapers, baby formulas, baby wipes, and activity kits to the community. To increase awareness of the services FIRST 5 SCC provides, SGA created a video for FIRST 5 SCC to highlight its efforts and community support. It's during these difficult times that it's good to know...you are not alone. #first5 #SGAMarketing #earlychildhood

Motivating behavior change often boils down to finding effective incentives. Norway has skillfully used consumer incentives to encourage the uptake of electric vehicles. This approach has positioned the country as the highest per capita purchaser of electric vehicles on the global market, and in March 2019, electric vehicle sales in Norway had a majority market share over traditional vehicles for the first time ever. https://bit.ly/2M7JhZW #SGAMarketing

Since going remote, our team has been making up for less face-to-face time with weekly team lunches. We'll play online games together or just chat, catch up and enjoy each other's company. What is your team doing to make up for in-person interactions? #PhysicallyApartSociallyClose #SGAMarketing

One of our favorite tools for encouraging behavior change is through "community champions." We are currently asking residents of San Bernardino County to nominate community champions to be featured in San Bernardino County Stormwater's blog http://bit.ly/2SpL7cZ #SGAMarketing

A key component of Community-Based Social Marketing is understanding what motivates and impedes behaviors of interest among your audience. Survey research is an important tool in understanding these motivators and barriers. You can read about our work using survey research with the U.S. EPA here: http://bit.ly/3384MBQ

The challenge of COVID-19 has also been a visceral reminder of how interconnected we are - this concept is the very keystone of SGA’s work. As we all adjust to these profound social and economic changes, our hope is that this renewed appreciation for our fragile web of interconnectedness is protected. https://bit.ly/2XRSnkG #SGAMarketing
