Kids can receive a holiday-themed Grab & Go Kit when they check out books through the Library’s Curbside Service November 30 December 18. Each kit contains two crafts, activity sheets, and a book. Our Grab & Go kits are free. Quantities are limited to one kit per patron; quantities are limited. Sign up for a Grab & Go Kit by calling (562) 868-7738 during our Curbside Service hours, Monday Thursday, 10:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. You can reserve a kit when you place your library materials on hold and you will be able to pick up both during our Curbside Service hours.

From November 30 December 14 children are invited to write to Santa at the North Pole, c/o Santa Fe Springs City Library, 11700 Telegraph, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670. You can also drop off your letter to the City Library. Santa’s special mailbox will be outside the Library’s front doors Monday Thursday 10 a.m. 6 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. 5 p.m. All letters must be turned in by December 14 to receive a personal reply. Letters must include the child’s name, address, and age.

Every year for Mexico's Day of the Dead fiesta, or Dia De Los Muertos, Don Pedro and his family make papier-mâché skeletons that are special for each letter of the alphabet. Celebrate Dia De Los Muertos with us as we read Calavera Abecedario: A Day of the Dead Alphabet Book by Jeanette Winter.
