OnTRAK4life.org and Sanger Firefighters Association would like to thank the public for coming out to support the First Responder Fundraiser! We sold out at over 200 meals and lots of bears were sponsored for children who experience crisis or trauma when 911 is called. Like us to keep up to date with future fundraisers!

Sponsor a first responder bear fundraiser. People can either sponsor a bear for $20, purchase a BBQ plate for $15 (pick up will be October 17th from 3pm to 5pm at 2216 Jensen Ave), or you can do both options. While speaking with locals during the CZU Lighting Complex, Sanger firefighters had the privilege of meeting Pascal (middle right). He is one of several residents/volunteer firefighters that decided to stay and help battle the flames during the beginning stages of the soon to be massive fire. Using minimal equipment, he successfully defended countless neighbors houses from burning to the ground. Pascal worked tirelessly by scraping miles of line around houses, stretching thou...sands of feet of garden hose, and cutting back overgrown roads to allow fire engines to pass. Pascal even engineered his own generator to pump water for firefighters to use. After the initial threat of fire, he fed and watered neighbors pets and livestock who were evacuated. He did not sleep for days on end. Sanger firefighters are preparing for the 2020 fire season. This tabletop training exercise will help predict wildfire behavior based off different topography, fuel types, ambient temperature, humidity, and most importantly WIND. Make sure you have 100 feet of defensible space and an evacuation plan!
