At the core, all of us want to be true to who we really are, make a contribution that matters, and be well-compensated for the contribution that we make. When today’s MarieTV guest, Rha Goddess, said those words, it struck a deep chord. After starting her career as a starving spiritual artist, Rha became the CEO and changemaker behind Move The Crowd, a coaching and consulting firm that’s been featured in Time Magazine, Variety, Essence, and Fast Company.... #MarieTV See more

Dear Community Partners, Over the past 2 months we have been working in partnership with the Department of Emergency , the Office of Economic WorkForce Development and the SFPUC Southeast Facility to build awareness and provide support around Coivd-19 . We created a survey to better serve our community. Please pass this on to your networks. We have created a series of marketing materials that have been launched on billboards across the city, and Covid-19 artistic relevant r...ap music on iheart, and KMEL. OEWD has given our organization thousands of PPE that we have stored at the Southeast Facility on 1800 Oakdale. In order to insure that we are serving the black community I'm asking that our leaders pass out this survey link below. Please share with your contacts so we can make sure that we are providing the quality service our community deserves. "It is appropriate that here in San Francisco we believe 'all things are possible.' Thanks to Mayor London Breed the first battle to defeat the war against COVID-19 was won! Mayor Breed was one of the first Mayor's in America to mandate 'sheltering in place,' as well as a curfew from midnight until the early morning for all San Francisco residents, all to help to ensure 'social distancing'. - Idris Ackamoor - Executive Director, Cultural Odyssey

A community activist sent me this article about another city and how the history of read lining results in under investment in neighborhoods that manifests as blighted looking areas without trees and plantings. The article goes on to talk about how this impacts health outcomes as well. This NY Times article is particularly on point re environmental justice: https://www.nytimes.com//racism-redlining-cities-global-wa Take a moment and read when you can. I would be very in...terested in such an analysis of San Francisco. Take care. Marsha Marsha Maloof, President Bayview Hill Neighborhood Association www.BayviewHillSF.org (415) 468-9168
