Going to offer a "fix it" workshop on Saturday, February 15th, from noon-2 pm. Bring the bag of things you need to fix: you will learn how to properly sew on buttons and other closures, mending using interfacing, basic sewing machine knowledge, and how to hem your pants/skirt, taper your pants/skirt, etc. $55! Workshop limit is 4 people, so sign up soon by responding with your name & email!

Sew What? is a neighborhood sewing school located above the Mysterious Rack 2 in the heart of the Inner Richmond on Clement Street. Classes will be taught by Gwen Lutz a bay area designer and sample sewer for the line Nooworks and Olivia Griffin co-owner of Pauls Hat Works and costume designer extraordinaire. Sew What? offers a very flexible lesson plan that can be based an established class curriculum or on the students individual needs. We offer private lessons and groups u...p to three people. Students may bring their own machines or use the ones available in the shop. Subjects taught will be based around but not limited to basic sewing, alterations, zippers and button holes and sewing from a pattern. class fees are based on time and number of students: 1 person $45- 1 hour $40-2+ hours 2 people $40/ hour with a 2 hour minimum 3 people $55/hour with a 2 hour minimum (at this time a group of three would need to bring their own machines or at least 1 machine)
