A lot of you have been asking when we’ll be opening up again. Although we do not yet know when that date will be (hopefully soon), our sister brewery @ImperialWestern is open 1-7pm daily for beer, cocktails, and German-inspired fare: think sausages and pretzels! Catch some rays in the beer garden, and enjoy their Summer Stein Special stein pours for the price of a pint all Summer long. Their new Stein Familie mug club launches this Friday, June 19th at 1pm. Memberships are $25 a pop, and include: a 1 Liter Stein (to keep at Imperial Western), access to regular Club specials and events, and a tiered reward program level up and fun stuff happens, like your own customized stein and more! S: How have you spent most of your time during lockdown? D: Feels like I’ve mostly been doing dishes! but in all seriousness I’ve been preparing for the arrival of my baby. My wife is less than 3 weeks from her due date! S: What’s been your quarantine whiskey of choice? D: Elijah Craig Seven Grand Single Barrel. I no longer have a couple bottles of those S: What do you miss the most about the bar? D: I miss my access to perspective. When you’re in quarantine you can go over and over an idea without any other outside perspective. I loved listening to people’s stories at the bar and living vicariously through them. . . . D: I’ve been making homemade jams, working in my garden a lot and making some delicious syrups using mulberries and others with ginger & peach S: What’s been your quarantine cocktail of choice? D: I’ve been digging on a cantaloupe milk punch I made, but also drinking Michter’s 10 S: What do you miss the most about your job? D: I realized how much I need to actually interact with people on a daily basis. I would be meeting anywhere between 50-100 new people per shift. . . . . D: I’ve been riding my bike a lot and diving into a lot of wine and beer knowledge. S: What’s been your quarantine cocktail of choice? D: I’ve been drinking Spaghetts! Also a lot of fun saison beers, my favorite one so far is called Reality In Motion, named after a Tame Impala song S: What do you miss the most about your job? D: I miss the madness of the liquor room right before clocking in on a weekend night shift. All the closing crew is coming in at the same time and us mentally preparing for the night ahead is something I miss the most....but also I miss going to concerts. Live music is my shit . . .
