Another great day at the Pantry! The San Diego Food Bank provided frozen chicken this week. Thanks to Lesley and friends for a huge donation of grocery bags. The heat has convinced us to close at 1:00 instead of 2:00 on Wednesdays. New volunteers are always welcome to stop by any Wednesday from 8am-1pm.
Thank you so much to those who have been bringing food and financial donations to the pantry since March. Your help is appreciated! Here's a small sample of the donations we received from neighbors today. Would you like to help? We are running short on plastic grocery bags. If you have some to spare, please consider dropping them off on Wednesdays, 7am to 1pm.
Volunteers Needed! Duties include: setting up/taking down pop-up tent and tables, sorting/bagging fresh produce and canned items, moving stock, and breaking down boxes for recycling. Three volunteer shifts every Wednesday: 8am-10am, 10-12, and 12-2pm. Due to COVID-19 regulations, volunteers are required to wear masks and gloves. We provide these or you may choose to wear your own. Most tasks are done outside while social distancing. Let us know if you'd like to help!
