With the upcoming holidays, and stay-at-home orders still in place, many are wondering how they can celebrate the holidays with their beloved families. The truth is seniors and their loved ones should still be able to look forward to celebrating all the upcoming Jewish holidays while keeping everyone safe. https://www.jfcares.org/blog/jewish-holidays-2020

Healthier and happier seniors in retirement communities Among the U.K. study’s findings: Residents of retirement communities were shown to be 75 percent more physically active than those who opted to age in place in their current home. Physical activity is a key predictor of overall health and longevity. Staying fit and active improves seniors’ cardiovascular health, decreases depression and anxiety levels, and helps maintain a healthy body weight, among other benefits. https://www.mylifesite.net//another-study-finds-potential/

Win, AKA Mynt Mann, is a major team player. He is very respectful and is always going above and beyond to satisfy the needs of residents. On off hours Mynt Mann is usually is the first to respond with no hesitation, on site faster than a speeding bullet. Mynt Mann sings for the residents, keeps smiles on their faces, and when he is done they want more. Mynt Mann has faith in his entertainment and truly loves keeping the residents happy, especially through these COVID-19 pan...demic times. It is a pleasure having Mynt Mann as an asset to the Sequoia Team. Jim Garden, Director of Environmental Services --------------------------------------------------------- Jean has worked at The Tam since 1994! For over 25 years, Jean has been giving high level work and service to this community and we are better for having him here. His personnel record is bursting at the seams with literally dozens of letters and recognition from residents, managers, and staff alike. Jean is quite possibly one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. If that phrase, Doesn’t have a bad bone in his body, applied to anyone, it’s Jean. He has a genuine kind word, patience, and a willingness to help anyone at any time. He cares sincerely for others around him and it shows. Recently, The Tam had a middle-of-the-night catastrophe with a fire alarm and a flood. Jean came in at 3:00 a.m. (he lives 30 miles away!) to help calm the storm. When he is there, you know things will get taken care of. He is calm and diligent and he SHOWS UP with positivity and warmth. One of Jean’s many glowing Superhero qualities (it’s hard to pick just one) is his deep Generosity of Spirit! Anne Cliatt, HR Manager See more
