Sequoia High Sierra Camp 01.11.2020

Each night following dinner we prepare a group campfire. Curl up, make s’mores, bring along your guitar, enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow camp guests - or just relax and enjoy the star studded evening skies and crisp mountain air.

At Sequoia High Sierra Camp, you will relax in one of our spacious canvas bungalows. Each features plush twin beds or even a king (based on availability). Down feather pillows and high thread-count sheets insure your night’s sleep is more like that of a 5 star hotel, rather than a camp in the High Sierra Mountains! If that was not enough to insure your sleeping comfort, fine Pendleton wool blankets allow you to snuggle just right as you drift off to a restful nights’ sleep. Other camps in the Sierra can only offer creaky metal framed cots with thin roll-up style mattresses. When we say our beds are plush, think that of fine hotel quality!

We are very excited to be able to be your host this summer and to continue to provide Glamping services, despite all Yosemite High Sierra Camps being closed this year. If you choose to spend your Glamping vacation with us, you will be impressed with our thoughtfully designed hideaway that provides upscale comfort with an environmental conscience. "Organic Architecture" best describes the architecture and decor of the Sequoia High Sierra Camp. Burr Hughes, the camp's owner, ho...lds a master's degree in architecture (with an emphasis in sustainable design) from England's University of Cambridge. Ecological responsibility guided every decision during the six years of planning this eco-friendly camp. The camp's design was influenced by an early architectural term known as "parkitecture," as seen in some of the most famous national park lodges. The goal is to blend seamlessly with nature. Structures were built with sustainable grown lumber. No old growth timber was used and no trees were removed during construction. The Camp buildings are sited on old logging trails to leave as light-as-possible footprint on the environment. Come join us!

We are currently opening the roads to our camp. It has been a very heavy year in terms of snow fall. We are accepting reservations for the season so please see our website. Again, Tioga road and pass in Yosemite National Park is still closed due to a record year or snow pack. Consider booking with us if you lost your reservations.
