Transformation = Practice Today was the first day I was able to take out my own trash since my injury in September. My trash cans are at the top of this hill/driveway. May be a small physical task to many or to my previous physical goals 6 months ago. But this is a huge deal for me and a major milestone in my progress and recovory from my injury.... I am experiencing a true physical, mental, and emotional, insticntual and even spiritual transformation during this process. It is painful, it is challenging, I am embarrassed at times to some of my limitations. But accepting this as my task at hand and choosing to focus on the positive side of things, has put me in a place to appreciate any amount of progress and success This has been a great experience for me to say the least. The fact that I try everyday gives me the peace and trust I need to fuel my fire to keep moving forward. Any progress is good progress! I hope this post motivates somebody that may be struggling on their own path. Sometimes it can be the little things that ultimately get us to the top of the mountain or to our destination. Wearing a solid smile after my first 500M Row since being injured September 20th. I was cleared by my Doc yesterday to wear a hiking boot for walking and she gave me the thumbs up on lifting heavier loads/weights. After focusing on all my physical therapy checklist and prep movements for about an hour. I took it easy and cruised through this one today and just enjoyed the opportunity to get back into a weight lifting routine.... (OTHER THAN UPPER BODY) Still a long way to go to reach my goals but appreciating every part of the experience as it comes my way. This has been a challenging experience no doubt about it. But having the right attitude and mindset has helped me out tremendously.
