Shasta County 911 services are pleased to introduce Text to 911 services in all communities within the county. This new service allows residents to text emergen...cy dispatchers during an emergency, when you are unable to call. Text to 911 connects the caller to public safety response agencies including police, fire and emergency medical services. Donna Stone, CEO, is pleased to announce four new part time staff members to the team. Three of the staff members will be a part of the clinical department wit...h the fourth working in accounting. If you have clinical questions, please call the Nor-Cal EMS office at 530-229-3979 or email your question(s) to [email protected]. We will then route your call or email to the appropriate clinical member. We are happy to introduce the following highly recommended individuals to our agency: Steven Dillon, Accounting / Office Assistant Steven worked at Nor-Cal EMS as an Intern while attending Simpson College University. He is one class away from earning his Bachelor’s Degree in both Accounting and in Business Administration. Steven will be an asset to the agency and we look forward to continue working with him. Nick Entsminger, EMS Specialist / AMAC Nick began his career as an EMT then became a Paramedic and currently is an Emergency Physician Assistant. He has a Master in Medical Science and is in the process of completing his Doctor of Medical Science w/Emphasis in Clinical Leadership. He is an accomplished writer, has many years of teaching experience, has received several Honors Designations, is a Governing Board Member of an Elementary School, has a high level of leadership experience and has been highly been recommended by his colleagues. We are happy to introduce Nick Entsminger as our new EMS Specialist / AMAC. Jennifer McGuire, Clinical Coordinator Nor-Cal EMS has worked with Jenni through her involvement as an EMT, EMS Officer, Firefighter and Engineer with Plumas Eureka Fire Department. Jenni has a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, English. She has contributed to Nor-Cal EMS throughout the past years in creating the first Nor-Cal EMS approved on-line training courses. There are many students in the Nor-Cal region that have been able to certify or recertify from these on-line courses. Her expertise in teaching in person and through on-line courses will be invaluable to the Nor-Cal region. Jenni is intelligent, approachable, pleasant, organized and efficient. We are happy to introduce Jenni McGuire as our new Clinical Coordinator. Mark Thomas, EMS Specialist / MAC Mark has been highly recommend to us as an excellent Paramedic. He has been a Paramedic since 2001 and has held positions as Field Care Officer, Operations Supervisor, Instructor and Preceptor. He is currently in pursuit of his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration. Mark’s experience along with extensive CQI/QA skills will be beneficial to the region. Mark is driven and works collaboratively between Public, Private and political interests. He will be an excellent leader for the Medical Advisory Committee. He has a desire for continued growth in his career and learning which is a great asset to the EMS Specialist / MAC position.
