Silver Dollar Speedway Sprint Car Rules Set in Place for the 2022 Season Chico, CA (12/15/21) A new team of leaders and a fresh start is already taking shape a...t the famed Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA. The Silver Dollar Speedway is making the effort to better align itself with the rest of the winged sprint cars in our country. Our goal is to be aligned with other traveling winged sprint car series, such as World of Outlaws and SCCT, to make it easier for our local teams to compete at a level playing field across the board, said Brad Sweet of SLC Promotions. Today, Silver Dollar Speedway is announcing the following rules starting in the 2022 racing season. A new tire rule for sanctioned Silver Dollar Speedway events in the winged 410 and 360 sprint car divisions will begin on March 4, 2022. The new tires allowed are the H15 right rear and H12 left rear (The WoO Tire Rule). Teams will have until June 1, 2022, to use up of any HTW tires they may have in their inventory. The HTW tire is being discontinued by Hoosier Tire. The medium tire will also be an option for teams if they choose. Beginning at the start of the 2022 season, Flat Top Wings will also be mandatory. Teams will have until June 1, 2022, to make the transition from Dish Wings to Flat Top Wings. After that date, Dish Wings will no longer be legal. We feel this is also the right time to make this transition, said Sweet. Once again, we want to be on the same page as the rest of the Country when it comes to winged sprint car racing. Other rules that are set to become mandatory at the start of the season will include cage updates such as the World of Outlaws have put forth in recent years. From WoO rules- All chassis will be required to have additional bars installed to support and decrease the span between the front and rear uprights in the driver’s area. The new support bars must be in addition to the front and rear uprights. Left front radius rods and heims must also be made of steel. Full axle tethers must be utilized along with kingpin tethers. Discussions across the country have been had about allowing aluminum blocks in 360 Sprint Car competition, however, after consulting engine builders and other promoters, Silver Dollar Speedway will not allow it in 2022. The weight rule for Winged 360 Sprint Cars at Silver Dollar Speedway will also be a uniform 1525, regardless of a team is utilizing an Open Head or ASCS Engine. Sweet said, These rules were discussed as a group by the other California tracks managers during the recent Promoters Workshop in Reno. After all of us talked as a group, myself, Kyle and Colby did what we think is the right thing to do for our local teams competing at Silver Dollar Speedway. We are still working on some details for the 2022 Silver Dollar Speedway schedule. We hope to have a schedule released to the public in the next few weeks. END See more

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Burris Bullring Showdown converges at the Pauline Davis Pavilion in Red Bluff October 22nd-24th By Gary Thomas... Red Bluff, CA September 30, 2020The Burris Bullring Showdown presented by the Red Bluff Outlaws and CC Promotions is set to invade the Pauline Davis Pavilion in Red Bluff on October 22nd, 23rd and 24th. The special event for Outlaw Karts will kick-off with a practice on Thursday night, before racing takes to the one-tenth mile indoor venue on Friday and Saturday. Divisions competing in the Burris Bullring Showdown include the Open 500’s, along with Open Intermediate, Sportsman, 250cc, Box Stocks and Beginner Box Stocks. We’re excited to bring the Burris Bullring Showdown to Red Bluff in October, commented event Co-Promoter Colby Copeland. We are going to start with a practice on Thursday, followed by qualifying and heat races on Friday, and then qualifier races and main events on Saturday. The format we came up with should make for good racing and award the drivers that perform well each time they hit the track. We’ve received a lot of great support from sponsors already and are continuing to gather more, which will increase the purse to an even larger number than where it is now. The Thursday practice is open to all classes and takes place from 3pm-8pm, starting with Box Stock mud packing at 2:30. Gates open at noon with pit passes $20 per person. Friday’s opener will see gates open at 11am with Box Stock mud packing occurring at 1:30pm. A quick practice session for all divisions will be held at 2pm, before moving right into qualifying. Quick time will be awarded 100 points with a one-point drop through the field. After that, the program moves into eight-lap heat races, which feature an invert of six. The winner of each heat will earn 40 points with a three-point drop per position. Saturday’s finale will see gates open at 8am with Box Stock mud packing at 9:30. A short practice for the Open division will occur at 10am, before moving into 10-lap qualifier races that will showcase an invert of eight based on points accumulated from Friday’s action. The top-40 from Friday’s points make it into a qualifier, everyone else will be part of the lower mains. The qualifiers will award 50 points to the winner, with a four-point drop after that. Points will then be calculated up to that part in the program and the top 12 will move to the Fast Four Media Shootout Dash, which lines up the first six rows in the A-main. All lower mains will line up based on point totals. For the Open A-main on Saturday there will be driver intros and a Cal Cutta type auction of each driver taking place. Prior to the feature each driver will be auctioned off and if your driver goes on to win, you will get to take the whole pot of money home. Entry fees for the event will be as follows: $100 for Opens; $80 for Open Intermediate, Sportsman and 250’s; $70 for Box Stock and Beginner Box Stock. Teams must run Burris Tires on all four corners of their kart, but there is no compound rule for any class including Sportsman. Competitors can run two classes at this race as long as they meet the requirements. Due to ongoing COVID restrictions grandstand passes will not be sold for the Burris Bullring Showdown. Everyone attending must purchase a pit pass and be associated with somebody racing. Pit passes cost $20 on Thursday, $25 on Friday and $35 on Saturday. A two-day pit pass can be purchased for $55. Ok racing family. Its that time we come together to help KC Nystrom 36kc And his family. KC Nystrom has been competing in the box stocks division during the red... bluff outlaws season, bringing home several AMain starts, a trophy dash win, and achieved many of his goals set at the beginning of the season. As some of you already know and some of you that don't, KC Nystrom lost his mother this Saturday in a car accident while she was on her way to the track to cheer on her son for the final points night at RBO. Our goal as a racing family and a close community is to pull together to help keep these young kids in a race cars. His mother would want nothing more then to see her son continue to race and fallow his dream. KC mom may not be here with him personally but I can assure she will be watching over and cheering him on from a distance. With expenses for final arrangements have to be made, I'd like to help KC get a fresh new bullet for this upcoming season at cycleland to help take the load off his grandfather and father to KC Nystrom mother, and his step dad. This family is a very good family. Polite, friendly, and the perfect example for the definition of a racing family.
