SELAMTA Foundation has its first fundraising we call the Peterpan Project to raise money for the Lost Boys of #Somalia. We chose these boys mainly because of the streets they are expected to survive in. Being homeless in #Mogadishu is one of the most horrific things to go through. These boys are not only faced with the challenges of trying to find something to eat to sustain themselves. Living in the streets of war torn #Somalia exposes them to different rebel groups including Al Shabab. Selam folks, I would like to as you all a favor! Please follow the link to a GoFundMe account I have set up to help the Los Boys of Somalia. Aljazeera reports thats there are roughly 5000 boys living in the streets of Mogadishu, one of the most dangerous cities in the world. These boys have left their homes because their families could not afford to take care of them; they are left to fend for themselves. Boys as young as 12 and 13 are left in the unforgiving streets of Somal...ia to try and survive on their own. Without support from anywhere and anyone they are left rummaging through dumpsters in search of a cardboard box as their mattress. They spend their days hiding, trying to stay away from trouble and their nights trying to sleep through sound of blasts and gun shots. I have set up this account in hopes of raising enough money to rent a small house to give these boys shelter and keep them safe and warm at night. I have contacts in place to help make sure all the proceeds go towards the boys. All the simple things in life that we take for granted will have such a monumental impact of these boys.
