I started wearing glasses in third grade but as i got older, well let’s say we weren’t rolling in cash. In college, a classmate of mine was a manager at an optometry office. She’s was in the field for 18yrs at that point. She said they were hiring and told me I’d be great at it. So there I go....Interview went well and she taught me everything she knew, Knowledge that I’ve held dear and even taught former employees. Then came graduation. We both graduated and she went on to be a teacher, I ended up taking her position. In two years I became the Lead Optician and Optical Manager. Having two degrees I knew I could make more money but at that point optics was already a passion and to me, I’d rather be happy so I stayed. I love the relationships I make with my patients. Seeing families grow, being on first name basis or even patients letting me put them in cool shapes and Colors is my favorite part. I’ll talk optics to anyone who will listen. My dream is to one day own my own practice...crazy I know.

Let’s talk: NOSEPADS Most patients forget about these and it’s not until we see the glasses that we realize, how much face oils are accumulated. This is a perfect example of natural wear and tare.
