Under the 2018 tax plan a new business deduction called the "pass-through tax deduction" has been introduced. This deduction applies to businesses that have incomes that will pass through to the business stakeholders, owners, and other beneficiary parties. The deduction could allow you to deduction up to 20% of this income, thus reducing your taxable income considerably. Today instead of the usual post we are proposing a challenge. Sometime this month we want you to partake in the "no-spend day" challenge, meaning you choose a day of the week in which you will spend no money on extra items. Extra items being things such as coffee, clothes, Ubers, takeout food, etc. Instead, tally up how much you would have spent ... and either just record that amount or donate that money to a charity of your choice. Doing this challenge is a good way to hit the reset button on your spending habits while also providing you with a new perspective on your finances.
