It has been a rough week for our Coast Guard family. Tragedy happened to multiple units and our hearts are with everyone affected. This past weekend we lost Ensign Morgan Garrett in an airplane crash during training. Our condolences also go out to the family of LT. Ross who also perished in the accident. ... Our Coast Guard family once again faced sadness this past weekend when a fire broke out in North Carolina. Multiple Coast Guard members lost their homes and sadly the Ramsey family lost much more. Station Hatterras Inlet is asking for donations to help assist the families affected. Our thoughts and prayers are with all Coast Guard families, members and units impacted by the tragic accidents this past week.
